Complexity and implementation issues are discussed in detail. Simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) provides challenging applications for high-dimensional non-linear filtering problems. The whole range -- from mathematical foundations provided in extensive appendices, to real-world problems -- is covered, including surveying standard sensors, motion models and applications in this field. All models and algorithms are available as object-oriented Matlab code with an extensive data file library and examples, which are richly used to illustrate the theory, are supplemented by fully reproducible Matlab code. The idea of the book is nice, the problem is that the author is focused on selling you his library, so he is kind of wasting your time marketing his library that is secret to you because it is all pre-compiled. So you end up with essentially a marketing book about some library that he wrote. BTW, he won't necessarily give it to you either - and in that case you essentially bought a book which shows you how to make function calls to some secret potion he has and you have no clue what it is because contrary to what the book is supposed to do - teach... it is actually a marketing gimmick.

Very comprehensive!
The book goes through the basics without excede in the math.
I think its a very nice book to start in the field.
